NSW Account Manager (maternity leave)

Reporting to the Group Account Director, this is a unique and exciting opportunity. Working with high-end retail, commercial & council clients, this role offers great professional rewards in a creative and dynamic environment with a passionate and supportive team.
The position is based in the Sydney Office and is full time with an immediate start.
This is a 12-month maternity leave position with the opportunity for permanent placement.

Rigging and Electrical Supervisor

We are searching for an experienced, organized and enthusiastic Rigging & Electrical Supervisor to join our team. Your overall responsibility will be to supervise our Rigging, Cable & Electrical Department for our bespoke client projects and ensure they are delivered beyond our client’s expectations. Each project needs to meet safety and engineering guidelines plus achieve budget and timeline parameters.

Core Competencies:

Experience working in a rigging capacity in the event / entertainment industry

Experience working with steel cables and the machinery involved with them to swage

Keeping up to date with Australian standards in rigging requirements for Chas Clarkson equipment and decorations

Maintain all relevant workshop equipment and keeping it serviced preseason to ensure a smooth delivery during peak times

Responsible for the stock control of the cable department and our truss inventory on the lead up to the season on all things cables and slings

Working closely with the Account Managers, Project Managers and Design Department to ensure that the teams have a clear understanding of the correct methods of rigging suspension of decorative elements throughout the project’s portfolio

Quoting of all jobs that include cables before client presentation, working on cost effective ways of getting the project done correctly and safely

Key Requirements:

Excellent communicator both verbal & written

Highly organised with good planning skills and high attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

The ability to operate highly autonomously when required, but to also operate as a team player sharing information and receiving feedback

Medium to high level administration experience and knowledge of MS Office programs, especially Excel, in the event / entertainment industry

Flexible with regards to work hours during October – January (Install & Dismantle season)

QLD Operations Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic Operations Manager to join our team.

You will be an experienced Operations / Project Manager who can confidently lead teams to manage a bespoke-build project from the first design meeting through to bump out. You will have experience in the events/exhibition/entertainment space with good exposure to production, technical, infrastructure, lighting and installation work. A head for figures, an eye for detail, exemplary administration skills and strong on-site management experience will be key.

Your strong interpersonal and organisational skills will enable you to manage multiple projects concurrently, often on long lead times.

Our main installation season between October and January will require you to have work hours flexibility, as many installations involve night-work.

Core Competencies:

Have an established network of experienced installation crew

Love to organize and have creative flair and design awareness

Have an unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a vehicle

Have equipment operator certification for forklifts, EWP and high risk.

Senior Designer Interior Architect Design Lead

We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer (for a 12-14 month paternity cover) to join our creative team based in our Botany headquarters. The successful candidate will need to communicate and liaise with: clients, key project stakeholders, external suppliers and the Chas Clarkson senior management team about all aspects of their active projects.

The position will require a creative ‘ideas person’ who is passionate about problem solving, project management, spatial & experiential design and storytelling. It is essential that the candidate is a seasoned expert in delivering architectural environments across the following stages: concept design, design development, specification & finishes, construction documentation and installation.

The Senior Designer will be directly involved in delivering, amongst other things, Chas Clarkson’s pop-up Christmas installations, bespoke Christmas landscapes & experiences, Christmas Wonderland Environments and Experiential Road Shows

Core Competencies:

Contribute and add value to Christmas installations & all year round Experiences that deliver JOY to our clients’ communities

Co-design, manage and deliver Christmas & All year round experiences for our clients, their spaces and their communities

Support the Creative Director in “bringing-to-life” the creative vision across each phase of the project’s realisation: concept development, pitching, designing, prototype & specification, installation, dismantle and review

Partner with Account & Project Managers to build and drive successful, seamless projects that are delivered in line with the brief and budget

Be a strong contributor to the relevant Project Production Meetings & Workshops and ensure Smartsheet document tasks are thorough and always up-to-date

To contribute to scheduling on all nominated projects from creative to production and ensure deadlines are being met

Work closely with the Creative Director and the Production Team to championing and maintain successful collaboration methods, project pathways and systems

Relationship manage and liaise with: clients, key project stakeholders, external suppliers and the Chas Clarkson senior management team regarding all aspects of active projects

Actively collaborate with fellow senior designers on the delivery of all presentations, production specification documents, finishes & materials boards and the concept specification document (The CSD)

Key Requirements:

Proven record of accomplishment within a relevant creative team

Strong background in Interior Architecture

Extremely organised with a high attention to detail and can produce high quality work under tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced and fun workplace

Creative problem solver, have a global design awareness, decorative ability and flare Team player with the desire to lead, motivate and inspire individuals and teams both internal and external to the business on projects

Knowledgeable & hands-on technical experience in experiential installations & environments, theatre sets & production construction and lighting will be highly regarded

A working knowledge of creative and project management software platforms: Autocad, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft programs and Smartsheet an added advantage

Monitor, with the Production Manager, Quality Control in production design packages

Be comfortable in acting as a mentor/coach to the junior team members of the creative team to maximise potential and expertise

Willing to be flexible with working hours, as required, to fulfil the duties of the position - a specific remuneration program is in place to reward flexibility
